One of my acquaintances does volunteering work
at "Project TEACH."
As a students of Music Education,
I felt obligated to introduce this great association.
Project TEACH is a Korean Non-profit Association that is
aiming for resolving unequal opportunities of Education.
They assert that True Education: Anything can happen.
-Recruiting domestic/international mentors who share our vision
-Holding mentor-mentee relationship-based summer camps
for children from low-income backgrounds
-Establishing a balanced education and relationship
between mentors and students
-To gather college students, graduate students, and anyone who is
dedicated to solving the problems in today’s education system to share
their wealth in knowledge and talent.
-To allow mentors-mentees to both benefit through learning from each
other and develop an understanding of people from different backgrounds.
-To contribute to the education of children by solving the inequality in
educational opportunities caused by income gaps
between families and those of districts.
-To redefine the true meaning of education by emphasizing
the importance of nurturing basic human values
rather than college admissions and test scores.
